Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional guest relations. Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, maintaining waitlists and communicating wait times clearly. Handle all cashiering responsibilities using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, accurately processing transactions and payments. Assist guests with menu inquiries, special requests, and provide information about restaurant offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to ensure a welcoming environment. Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information or directing inquiries appropriately. Support overall guest experience by coordinating with servers and staff to ensure timely service delivery. Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a food service or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management. Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Background in hospitality, hotel services, or guest relations enhances your ability to excel in this role. Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and phone etiquette is highly valued. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent guest service standards.
