Maintain organized reservation records using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Assist in managing waitlists during busy hours while providing accurate estimated wait times. Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the host/hostess station area. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously. Support overall restaurant operations by communicating effectively with team members and ensuring guest satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction with guests and team members. Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures. Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods during shifts.
