Perla's is a seafood & oyster bar on popular South Congress Avenue, with cuisine featuring fresh gulf caught fish and a wide variety of oysters. Position SummaryOur hosts provide a warm and hospitable approach to all guests before and after their Perla's dining experience. As a host, you are responsible for promptly welcoming guests at the door, seating them in a timely fashion, and managing reservations via OpenTable.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Greeting and seating guests, presenting menus to guests.

Treating guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfactionTaking names on a waiting listRunning the floor plan via reservation systemObserving tables and marking their progress in their meal via reservation system. Keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.

Taking guest information and quoting wait time to guests accurately when tables are not immediately availableCleaning, organizing, and stocking menus at host areaAnswering phone and answering questions concerning the menu and restaurantInteracting with guests coming in and as they leave, ensuring a positive dining experienceFilling to go orders, if applicableMaintaining restrooms throughout shiftPerforming other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members and guests)Must be able to read, write, and determine wait time based on MML's proceduresMust visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tablesStrong organizational skills and ability to multi-taskKnowledge of workplace safety proceduresBeyond the valued hard work MML offers:
