Job Description
Quince Lakehouse is looking for an experienced, confident, and hospitality-driven Lead Host / Maitre d to join our Austin team.
We are looking for someone who can own the front door, lead the host team, manage the flow of a high-volume restaurant, and set the tone for an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.
Who We're Looking For:
Extensive OpenTable knowledge and experience required including reservation management, table statuses, pacing, guest notes, waitlists, and maximizing the book during high-volume service.
Customer service game is consistently on point. You understand that every interaction matters and know how to make guests feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold a host team accountable while maintaining a positive and professional environment.
Confident and polished in a highly guest-facing role, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable managing high-volume services while maintaining organization, composure, and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of reservation pacing, table turns, seating strategy, and dining room flow.
Able to confidently handle guest concerns, special requests, VIPs, large parties, and challenging situations with professionalism.
Excellent communication with management, servers, bartenders, and support staff to keep the restaurant operating efficiently.
Previous experience as a Lead Host, Maitre d', Reservationist, or similar leadership position in a high-volume, upscale or elevated restaurant environment strongly preferred.
Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You should be able to balance the needs of our guests with the operational needs of the restaurant while keeping the host team focused, organized, and moving with purpose.
