Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage reservations, coordinate seating, and ensure smooth flow of service in a lively, customer-focused environment. Your friendly demeanor and organizational skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience, making guests feel valued and comfortable throughout their visit. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, practicing proper phone etiquette and communication skills Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests Assist with guest services by addressing inquiries, special requests, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit Support food safety standards by adhering to proper procedures during guest interactions and table management Experience Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest relations professionally and courteously Experience with restaurant table management systems and POS systems is advantageous Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions Previous hospitality or hotel experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for serving others is essential
