Responsibilities Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, making them feel valued and comfortable. Manage restaurant reservation systems, including Aloha POS or Micros POS, to efficiently organize seating arrangements. Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, providing information and taking reservations accurately. Coordinate seating plans to optimize table utilization while maintaining guest satisfaction. Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times effectively to guests. Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide excellent guest relations throughout their visit. Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and proper handling of reservation materials and guest areas. Skills Proven experience as a host/hostess or in a similar customer service role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on friendly phone etiquette. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and organization skills. Basic math skills for managing reservations, wait times, and seating arrangements accurately. Familiarity with food service operations, restaurant table management systems, and POS systems. Knowledge of hospitality principles, guest services, food safety standards, and restaurant experience to enhance guest relations.
