Position Overview:

DeadBeach Brewery is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and organized Host & Retail Sales Associate to join our team! You'll be the first face people see when they walk in — creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing seating, and helping customers with beer to-go and merchandise purchases. This role is perfect for someone who loves craft beer, enjoys talking to people, and wants to be part of a fast-paced, fun environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Host Duties:

Greet and welcome guests with a positive, upbeat attitude. Manage seating flow, waitlists, and reservations to ensure a smooth guest experience. Communicate wait times clearly and effectively. Assist taproom staff in keeping common areas clean and guest-ready.

Beer To-Go & Merchandise Sales:

Help customers with beer to-go , including cans and growler fills . Promote and sell DeadBeach Brewery merchandise, including apparel, glassware, and more. Keep retail and to-go beer areas stocked, organized, and looking sharp. Accurately handle transactions using the POS system (cash and credit). Educate guests about our beers, brewery story, and upcoming events to enhance their visit.

General Support:

Ensure every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. Work closely with taproom and bar staff to maintain smooth operations. Follow all health, safety, and alcohol compliance guidelines. Occasionally assist with brewery events, new beer releases, and special promotions.

Qualifications:

Customer service, hospitality, or retail experience is a plus (but not required). Passion for craft beer — willingness to learn about our beers and brewery is essential. Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude. Strong communication and multitasking skills. Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 30 lbs (cases of beer, merch boxes).
