Manage reservations and walk-in guests with efficiency and grace. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service flow. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and poise. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host area. Utilize restaurant systems, including Toast and Resy, for managing guest information. Assist in coordinating special events or large parties to ensure seamless service. Uphold high standards of customer service to enhance guest relations. Basic qualifications Previous experience as a Host or in a similar role within the food service industry. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Toast POS, Resy or OpenTable is preferred. Preferred qualifications Background in restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous. Experience in serving or guest services enhances your candidacy. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries.
