THE OPPORTUNITY

At Kyoto Sushi & Grill, we are seeking Hosts. We are looking for friendly, outgoing, and responsible Hosts to join our team. We believe that hospitality is a fast-paced industry that requires people who are self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and are willing to take ownership of their performance. We also believe that host experience is essential to success in this position. We offer a team atmosphere that is both encouraging and rewarding. We provide training for those who have not been in the restaurant industry before. We want to see you grow and thrive with us!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Greeting customers as they walk in the door. This includes giving them a clear explanation of their order as well as pointing out items on the menu that the company offers. Preparing orders prior to guests arrival. For example, running water, making tea, or making coffee. Making sure each guest has an enjoyable dining experience by serving food quickly, efficiently, and with a smile. Assisting the wait staff with serving drinks and cocktails during peak hours. For example, refilling water glasses, getting napkins, and getting drinks for the guests. Cleaning the dining room prior to each shift by taking out trash, mopping, scrubbing floors etc. Closing the restaurant by clearing all tables and taking out the trash.

QUALIFICATIONS A

positive attitude and ability to work well with others. Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines. Ability to work a second shift if needed (we have some busy weekends).
