Duties Greet guests promptly with a friendly and energetic demeanor, making them feel valued and comfortable. Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms. Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or specials. Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction. Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills. Assist in managing guest flow during busy hours to minimize wait times and maximize seating efficiency. Support overall restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness at the host stand and ensuring a welcoming environment at all times. Skills Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, team members, and management. Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a friendly attitude under pressure. Familiarity with restaurant operations, serving protocols, and guest services standards.
