As a Host, you'll coordinate reservations, manage waitlists, and facilitate smooth seating arrangements, all while providing exceptional customer service that sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. Responsibilities Greet guests with a friendly and energetic demeanor upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and appreciated Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth service transitions Provide accurate wait times and assist guests in finding comfortable waiting areas when necessary Answer guest inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas to uphold high standards of hospitality Handle guest relations with tact and positivity, resolving concerns promptly to enhance overall guest experience Experience Prior experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Experience in hotel or guest services roles can be beneficial for understanding guest relations and hospitality standards Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to foster positive interactions with guests and team members Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly, energetic attitude throughout shifts Previous experience serving or working in hospitality settings will support your success in creating memorable guest experiences
