Velvet Wax & Beauty is seeking an energetic, creative, and camera-ready Social Media Influencer and TikTok Live Host to expand our digital presence and promote our services and retail products. This role combines in-salon content creation with consistent live product education and audience engagement. The selected candidate will visit our Alexandria salon at least once each week to create content about waxing, sugaring, skincare, beauty education, products, promotions, and the Velvet client experience. The candidate will also host three TikTok Live shows per week to demonstrate products, answer questions, and support product awareness and sales. TikTok Live sessions may be hosted from home. The host must maintain a clean, professional, well-lit background that reflects the visual feel and brand standards of Velvet Wax & Beauty. Key Responsibilities Visit the Velvet Alexandria salon at least once per week for scheduled filming. Develop and appear in short-form videos about waxing, sugaring, skincare, products, promotions, and frequently asked client questions. Host three engaging TikTok Live shows each week focused on Velvet retail products. Educate viewers about product benefits, proper use, and recommended routines in a clear and entertaining way. Respond to live comments and questions while keeping each broadcast organized, accurate, and engaging. Use trends, storytelling, demonstrations, humor, and educational concepts to attract and retain viewers. Create or support branded visual content and promotional materials using Canva. Follow content direction, promotional priorities, and brand guidelines while contributing original ideas. Stay current on TikTok trends, platform features, live-hosting practices, and audience-engagement techniques. Review basic content and Live performance results to identify the topics and formats that generate the strongest engagement. Represent Velvet Wax & Beauty professionally, accurately, and enthusiastically in all content. Required Qualifications Strong, practical understanding of TikTok, including short-form content, trends, audience engagement, and TikTok Live. Comfortable speaking, demonstrating products, and entertaining an audience on camera. Open, bubbly, personable communication style and the ability to maintain energy during live broadcasts. Creative and self-directed; able to receive a topic or business objective and develop a strong concept without requiring every step to be scripted. Able to accept direction, incorporate feedback, and make revisions promptly. Experience using Canva. Genuine interest in waxing, sugaring, skincare, beauty, or personal care. Dependable and organized, with the ability to maintain a consistent weekly filming and Live schedule. Lives in or near Northern Virginia and can reliably travel to Old Town Alexandria at least once per week. Has an appropriate home setup for professional remote TikTok Live sessions, including reliable internet,a smartphone, suitable lighting, and an on-brand background. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a content creator, influencer, brand ambassador, livestream host, salesperson, or beauty professional. Experience promoting beauty, skincare, wellness, or personal-care products. An existing social media portfolio or examples of on-camera content. Experience editing short-form video in CapCut or a similar application. Experience converting viewers into customers through live selling, product education, or clear calls to action. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate can take a clear objective, understand the assignment, and develop an engaging concept that fits the Velvet brand. This person is entertaining without being unprofessional, confident without sounding overly scripted, and creative while remaining receptive to direction.
