Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage the reservation system and ensure efficient seating arrangements to optimize guest flow. Answer phone calls with professionalism, handling reservations and inquiries with excellent phone etiquette. Provide information about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies to guests. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service for guests. Handle guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive dining experience. Support other restaurant staff as needed during busy periods, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility. Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with guests positively. Familiarity with food service operations is advantageous. Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help guests feel welcome and valued. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
