Overview Join us at Tranquility Farm & Winery as a hostess and "wine"-tender! As the hostess, you will be the first welcoming face that our guests will meet. We will happily train you on the backstory of our picturesque farm and elegant wine selections. Here at the farm, we not only have an estate winery, but also a luxury event side, and multiple VRBO locations. As the hostess, you will check-in all guests for whichever experience they are joining us for. "Wine"-tending includes pouring flights, glasses, and opening bottles of wine. This job is focused in our Wine Store which is filled with merchandise and products our guests can purchase and enjoy. The Wine Store is lined with windows and has a stunning fireplace that roars in the winter. It overlooks our beautiful gardens and hillsides that roll into the luxury event side of the farm. A stunning "office" view just waiting for you to enjoy. Our tranquil farm and winery offers extensive beauty and hosts unforgettable moments. Responsibilities Warmly greets guests upon arrival and manages seating Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, taking reservations, and accommodating special requests Serves wine at the bar while maintaining cleanliness and organization of the area Handles guest inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette and clear communication skills Manage POS systems including Commerce7 & Tock to process orders accurately and to manage both reservations and walk-ins Manage the Wine Store and inventory levels of products displayed and sold Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the Wine Store Experience Prior host/hostess experience in a steady-paced hospitality setting highly encouraged Excellent guest relations skills Experience operating POS systems similar to Commerce7 or Tock is highly desirable Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests Previous hotel or guest services experience is preferred Familiarity with serving techniques, phone etiquette, and hospitality standards is beneficial Must be 21+ Must be able to work Thursday-Sunday Pay $15 an hour + Tips Join us if you're passionate about creating warm atmosphere where every guest feels special!
