This part-time position plays a key role in creating an elegant and welcoming experience for guests enjoying our renowned Afternoon Tea service. The Tea Host ensures a gracious arrival and departure experience, manages reservations and seating, and assists in maintaining the refined atmosphere that defines this long-standing Jefferson tradition. Experience:

Basic Functions & Scope Serve as the first point of contact for guests attending Afternoon Tea, ensuring a welcoming and polished experience. Manage reservations, seating, and guest flow in coordination with the Tea and Food & Beverage teams. Provide information about tea offerings, menu items, and hotel amenities. Maintain the appearance and readiness of the tea service area, ensuring all details meet The Jefferson's high standards. Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and accessibility needs in a professional and courteous manner. Duties & Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly and elegant demeanor. Manage reservation systems to ensure efficient and accurate seating. Monitor guest flow and communicate with service staff to maintain smooth operations. Maintain knowledge of daily menus, special offerings, and hotel services. Support the Tea Service team with light duties as needed to ensure an exceptional experience. Ensure the entry and dining areas remain organized, clean, and guest-ready throughout service. Qualifications Prior hosting or hospitality experience preferred; fine dining background a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behavior. Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
