Job Description
The Slahal Host-Hostess/Cashier is responsible for greeting guests as they enter the Slahal Restaurant while providing superior guest service. Additional duties include maintaining reservations, assigning tables to service staff, calculating daily receipts, finding suitable seating for guests and keeping the host-hostess area stocked and cleaned at all times. Performs additional duties as assigned by the department manager. Starting wage is $17.02/hr increasing to $17.61/hr at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is requiredExperience & Requirements:
Six months restaurant experience is required Must be able to make correct change and calculate daily receipts Must have good grooming habits and manners with ability to provide excellent guest service Must have valid Washington State food handler's cardPhysical Requirements:
Good manual and finger dexterity for operation of computerized sales register Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours Mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environmentAdditional Requirements:
Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays All applicants must obtain a Class III B license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. However, the use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant unless the position requires driving a company vehicle.
