Security Host Silver Star Sports Bar & Grill —

Longview, WA Part-time:

approximately 7-15 hours per week Friday and Saturday availability after 7 p.m. is required. Silver Star is hiring a Security Host to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment during busy evening and late-night service. This is a guest-facing hospitality and security position. You will greet guests, check identification, monitor the restaurant and bar, enforce house policies, identify concerns early, and respond calmly when intervention is needed. You will work under the direction of the manager on duty and alongside bartenders and servers. What You'll Do Greet guests and maintain a professional presence at the entrance. Check identification and enforce applicable age restrictions. Monitor entrances, exits, guest areas, and the surrounding premises. Watch for prohibited items, unsafe conduct, and violations of house policies. Recognize signs of intoxication and promptly communicate concerns to bartenders and the manager on duty. Use calm, respectful communication to prevent and de-escalate conflict. Respond to disturbances, fights, medical situations, and other emergencies according to training. Direct or escort disruptive guests from the premises when necessary. Contact or assist law enforcement and emergency responders when appropriate. Complete clear, accurate incident reports before leaving the shift. Communicate security concerns and relevant shift information to the manager on duty. Participate in required safety and security training. Restaurant and Closing Support Security Hosts are part of the restaurant team. When security conditions allow, you will also: Remove empty glassware from guest areas. Identify spills and clean or secure the area promptly. Help bartenders and servers keep the bar clean and orderly. Assist with tables, chairs, sweeping, and other assigned closing duties. Guest and employee safety always comes first. What We're Looking For Friday and Saturday availability after 7 p.m. Calm, confident, and respectful communication. Good judgment in stressful or fast-moving situations. Strong awareness of your surroundings. Ability to enforce policies firmly and consistently. Dependability and reliable attendance. Ability to work well with managers, bartenders, servers, and emergency responders. Prior security, hospitality, military, corrections, or related experience is helpful but not required. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical duties of the position. Ability to complete any required training or certification. The best Security Hosts prevent problems before they escalate, treat people with respect, and know when a situation requires immediate action.

Pay:
