Host / Hostess (Seasonal)

We re hiring a polished, efficient Host/Hostess for our upscale rooftop lounge. You ll be the first and last touchpoint for guests, managing reservations, seating, and the flow between bar and dining service in a fast paced, high volume environment.

RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent6+ months experience as a Host/Hostess preferred; hotel experience a plus1 2 years of customer service experienceMust be at least 21 years oldWashington Food Handler CardMAST CertificationWhat You ll DoPrepare your area for service: inspect tables, chairs, table bases, floors, windows, and decor to ensure they re clean and guest ready.

Check reservations, phone messages, and Tok to confirm seating plans and private party setups.

Have menus ready, accurate, and spot free; maintain a neat, organized host stand.

Welcome and greet guests with a smile, eye contact, and friendly conversation; manage seating preferences (inside/outside, booth, etc.) and maintain a clean waitlist.

Answer phones within three rings, smile while speaking, and handle reservations and guest questions clearly and professionally.

Rotate sections fairly among servers, coordinate seating with reservations and private events, and ensure all checks are opened/closed in Micros when needed.

Communicate seated guests to servers promptly and assist with food and beverage service as needed without neglecting the host stand.

Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of your station and service areas; enforce the hotel s no outside liquor policy in a courteous, professional way.

Assist with bussing, break coverage, and opening/closing duties as assigned.

Follow supervisor instructions, stay a strong team player, and assist in other departments when necessary.
