Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, energetic Part Time Hostess/Cashier to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth restaurant operations. In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, managing reservations, greeting visitors, and providing exceptional guest services. You will also handle cashier duties, process transactions accurately using restaurant POS (Point of Sale) systems, and support overall restaurant flow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hospitality skills with customer service excellence in a lively environment. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest experience Handle restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management software and maintain accurate waitlists Provide attentive guest services by answering questions about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process payments swiftly and accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area in compliance with food safety standards Communicate effectively with team members regarding guest needs, reservations, and special requests via phone and in person Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and reservation software is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries courteously and efficiently Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash or card transactions accurately Experience operating POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow seamlessly Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe dining environment Effective communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and phone inquiries in a professional manner
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
