The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and inviting demeanor. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and minimize wait times. Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times accurately to guests. Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions. Assist in coordinating the dining room to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for all patrons. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient table management and guest tracking. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization at the host stand and surrounding areas. Requirements Previous host/host experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. Background in food service or hospitality is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to effectively engage with guests and staff. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or Micros POS, is a plus. Experience in hotel guest services or related fields is beneficial. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
