A Host/Hostess must be friendly, professional, and organized. A Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests. This position plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience from arrival to departure. The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting members and guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, answering phone calls, and supporting the Food & Beverage team in delivering exceptional hospitality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Member & Guest Relations Greet members and guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the Club. Escort members and guests to their tables and provide menus. Maintain awareness of member preferences and assist in creating personalized experiences. Thank members and guests as they depart and invite them to return. Reservations & Seating Management Manage reservations and dining room seating arrangements to maximize efficiency and member satisfaction. Coordinate table assignments with servers and management. Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate expected wait times when necessary. Monitor dining room flow to ensure balanced service among team members. Communication & Administrative Support Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist members with dining reservations and inquiries. Provide information regarding dining hours, events, and club activities. Communicate effectively with management, kitchen staff, servers, and bartenders regarding reservations, special requests, and member needs. Assist with maintaining reservation records and event attendance lists. Dining Room Support Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house environment. Support servers and food runners during busy service periods. Assist with menu presentation, special event setup, and other front-of-house duties as assigned. Help maintain cleanliness of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas. Qualifications Previous hospitality, customer service, or restaurant experience preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing exceptional member service. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in a busy hospitality environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Schedule Requirements Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Flexible schedule based on club operations and seasonal demand.
