Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable dining experience from the moment they arrive. In this vital role, you will manage restaurant reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently. Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests with accuracy and efficiency Coordinate table assignments, monitor wait times, and communicate waitlist updates clearly to guests Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and guest experience Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills Requirements Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred Strong communication skills, including phone communication and customer service excellence Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems and POS (Point of Sale) systems such as MenuSifu Basic math skills for managing reservations, seating calculations, and billing procedures Organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple tables and guest needs simultaneously Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality best practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required Join us to be part of a vibrant team where your hospitality skills will shine!
