Job Description
We are looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests' first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. This position is for someone who has open availability it is a flex position that will fill in the gaps as needed. This person needs to be able to thrive in the wee hours of the night with the same energy and hospitality as given during the days shifts. It is for someone who can stay alert and positive in the overnight hours. Some training will take place on all shifts to make sure this person is well versed in all areas. It will be two to four shifts a week. Things to think about before applying: Hotels are open 365 days a week. Holidays and weekends are requires. We try to honor requests the best we can, but they aren't guaranteed unless approved by management. Reliable transportation is very important. We have some fundamentals that we look for: Adults have to adult. We don't micromanage. Show up and show out. This means arriving at work on time when you are scheduled, ready to go to work and being fit for duty. Don't self glorify. We see you and we recognize talent and performance. We don't tolerate toxicity or drama. If you know you have too many things going on in life to be a reliable and consistent associate, please understand this may not be the role for you. It isn't a recipe for success if you the job expectations can't be met. It is important to note that the hotel business environment can be very fast paced at times. Multi-tasking is an essential skill. We need someone with full availability. This will initially be a part time position. The shifts will range from 7am-3pm, 1pm-9pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service, we'd like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests. Responsibilities Perform all check-in and check-out tasks in a true hospitality fashion. Politely manage online and phone reservations Courteously inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay) Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms in a gracious and accomodating way Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities Professionally respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate Maintain updated records of bookings and payments Cleaning and Organizing duties as assigned
