FRONT DESK CLERK
The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for providing friendly and professional service to hotel guests while handling the daily duties of the front desk. The Clerk assists guests with check-in and check-out, reservations, questions, payments, and other requests while helping ensure the hotel operates smoothly. Shifts Available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM Primary Duties Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Check guests in and out of the hotel. Make, modify, and cancel reservations. Answer the telephone and respond to guest inquiries. Process guest payments and maintain accurate guest accounts. Provide information about the hotel, local attractions, restaurants, and services. Respond to guest requests and resolve routine problems or complaints. Communicate guest needs and maintenance issues to the appropriate department. Monitor room status and communicate with housekeeping regarding room availability. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk, lobby, and bathroom area. Handle keys, guest information, and other hotel property responsibly. Follow cash-handling, security, and hotel operating procedures. Complete required paperwork and daily front desk reports. Assist with light duties around the hotel when needed, i.e. delivering towels, lighting pilot lights, adjusting TVs, etc. Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude. Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned by the Hotel Manager. Guest Service Expectations The Front Desk Clerk is often the first and last person a guest interacts with.

Ask the Manager for assistance when a situation is outside their authority. Qualifications Previous hotel or customer-service experience preferred but not required. Good communication and customer-service skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to handle cash and credit-card transactions accurately. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable and punctual. Professional appearance and attitude. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required. General Responsibility The Front Desk Clerk is responsible for helping provide a positive guest experience and maintaining the hotel's standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism.
