This position serves as a key point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience from arrival through departure. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for accurate check-in and check-out procedures, reservations, payments, room assignments, guest requests, and addressing guest concerns. This role works closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Management, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience. PM/evening shifts may be required, including weekends and holidays as needed. Responsibilities Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner. Complete accurate and efficient check-in and check-out procedures. Process reservations, room assignments, payments, and guest requests accurately. Review daily arrivals, VIPs, special requests, and late arrivals. Respond to guest questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and provide appropriate service recovery. Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to address room status, maintenance concerns, and guest requests. Recognize loyalty-program members and provide appropriate guest recognition. Maintain accurate guest records and protect guest privacy and information. Follow hotel policies, procedures, security standards, and applicable brand standards. Maintain proper key control and follow all safety and security procedures. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-desk and lobby environment. Complete required shift reports and communicate important information to the incoming shift. Assist with other front-office and hotel operational duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous hotel or customer-service experience preferred. Strong customer-service and communication skills. Professional, dependable, and team-oriented. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to accurately handle payment transactions. Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel property-management systems. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Availability to work PM/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
