Job Description
SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel® is currently hiring a full-time Guest Services Agent to help create exceptional experiences for every guest who walks through our doors. If you're personable, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, we'd love to hear from you. About the Role As a Guest Services Agent, you'll be one of the first and last people our guests interact with during their stay. You'll assist with arrivals and departures, answer questions, manage reservations, and deliver the welcoming service that makes every stay memorable. What You'll Do Welcome guests and provide a smooth check-in and check-out experience using our property management system Assign guest rooms, issue room keys, verify payment information, and maintain accurate guest records Process cash and credit card transactions according to company procedures Share information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining recommendations Respond to guest questions and resolve concerns with professionalism, escalating issues when needed Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready Answer incoming phone calls and assist callers with reservations and general inquiries Enter reservations accurately and document guest preferences or special requests Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area Follow all hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures Balance cash drawers and complete end-of-shift reports Promote room upgrades and hotel amenities when appropriate Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in hospitality, front desk operations, or customer service is preferred Comfortable using computers, reservation systems, telephones, printers, and payment terminals Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods with occasional walking throughout the property Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse Clear verbal communication, hearing, and visual attention to detail Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed Workplace Skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Adaptability and willingness to learn Strong communication and teamwork Good judgment and problem-solving skills Basic math skills for handling payments and balancing transactions Commitment to delivering outstanding guest service every day
