Job Description

The Holiday Inn Express is seeking a dynamic candidate experienced in Opera to assist management during daily guest service operations. A Front Desk Manager is responsible for managing the first impressions of our guests, and therefore, must perform the following responsibilities and tasks to the highest standards: This position requires a flexible schedule and candidate must be available to work any shift needed. Prepare weekly schedule for a staff of up to 25 Manage all costs, including labor and supplies Train, supervise and support front office staff (guest service agents and drivers) Participates in the selection of front office personnel Schedule shifts according to hotel occupancy and work flow Supervise the efficient operations of reception including check in/out procedures Support team members in handling guest requests and ensures a positive outcome is achieved Ensure that the GM are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties Respond and resolve all guest complaints in a timely fashion, including GXP Reconcile all A/R accounts in a timely manner Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the front office team with an emphasis on training and teamwork Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which will inspire team members to exceed standards Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required Follow and adhere to company brand standards Assist other departments whenever necessary and maintain good working relationships with team members To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, skills and values that follow: Desire to progress within the hospitality industry Positive attitude and good communication skills Previous supervisory experience in the hotel industry Previous experience with Marriott brand hotel and FOSSE property management system
Job Requirements:
Successful history as a Guest Service Supervisor or related hospitality experience Flexible Schedule Task-driven individual Experience with Marriott reservations software, FOSSE, preferred Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking.com, Expedia, TripAdvisor Customer service attitude Excellent communication and organizational skills Degree in Hospitality management is a pl
