Front Office Manager / General Manager Position Summary The Front Desk Associate is responsible for providing excellent guest service from check-in to check-out. This position creates a welcoming experience for guests, answers questions, resolves concerns, and completes daily front desk duties accurately and professionally. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude. Complete guest check-in and check-out efficiently. Verify guest information, payment, and identification. Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries. Make, change, and cancel reservations. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately. Balance cash drawer and complete shift reports. Respond to guest requests and resolve concerns in a timely manner. Maintain guest confidentiality and follow hotel security procedures. Communicate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction. Keep the front desk, lobby, and work area clean and organized. Follow Marriott brand standards, hotel policies, and safety procedures. Assist with selling guest rooms and promoting hotel services when appropriate. Complete all required training and perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous hotel or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management systems. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to solve problems calmly and professionally. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bend, reach, and use a computer for extended periods. Work in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Requirements Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Must be available for AM, PM, and overnight (Night Audit) shifts as needed. Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work overtime if needed. Skills Excellent customer service.
