Job Summary MUST BE 21+ (Will be serving wine/ beer/ cappuccinos with possibility of tips) We are seeking a dedicated and personable Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at The Hotel St Helena. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor. Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest information. Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using hotel management software. Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience. Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Maintain an organized front desk area and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked. Perform night audit duties as required, including balancing accounts and preparing reports. Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for guests. Utilize phone systems effectively to manage incoming calls and relay messages as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred; experience in hotel management is a plus. Barista experience a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests from diverse backgrounds; bilingual skills are highly desirable. Familiarity with front desk operations and phone systems is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing reservations and guest requests. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. A passion for providing outstanding guest services in a hospitality environment.
