Petit Soleil is an independently owned boutique hotel in the downtown San Luis Obispo area. We are looking for a guest service associate to join our team.

This position is all encompassing:

front desk, food preparation, serving and bartending. Potential applicants should be self motivated, outgoing, and love interacting with guests.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner Register guests and assign rooms, ensuring all necessary information is obtained Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously Up-sell hotel services and amenities to enhance guest experience Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, kitchen and dining room Take guest orders and deliver food and beverages to tables, ensuring satisfaction Prepare baked goods and daily offerings for guests Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining rooms, including dishes Serve cocktails, beer and wine Maintain knowledge of our current menu offerings Staff the Front Desk overnight

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Food Handler's Certificate (can obtain after hiring) RBS Certificate (can obtain after hiring) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus (e.g., bilingual or multilingual) Ability to work flexible hours, including overnight weekends and holidays Ability to work independently Must be at least 21 years old for bar and alcohol service

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
