Santa Cruz, CA 95060 (Required) Part-Time Front Desk Agent Join our team at a charming boutique hotel located in one of Santa Cruz's most popular beach destinations. Situated just steps from the sand and beautiful ocean views. We are seeking a dependable and guest-focused Part-Time Front Desk Agent who enjoys hospitality and takes pride in creating memorable experiences for visitors. This position is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who is available to assist with coverage during both morning and evening shifts. The role begins at approximately two shifts per week, with opportunities for additional hours based on occupancy levels and business needs. What You'll Do Welcome guests and provide exceptional customer service throughout their stay Efficiently check guests in and out while ensuring accuracy in reservations and billing Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide information about the hotel and local attractions Manage reservations, guest profiles, and room assignments Process payments and follow hotel policies regarding deposits, cancellations, and refunds Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping and communicate guest needs effectively Maintain clear communication with fellow team members during shift changes Assist guests with requests, recommendations, and problem resolution Keep the front desk, lobby, and back-office areas organized and professional Keep the laundry running and fold laundry Support daily hotel operations and administrative tasks as needed What We're Looking For Reliable, dependable, and able to assist with schedule coverage during the busy season Flexible availability for both AM shifts Strong attendance record and punctuality Comfortable using computers, email, and reservation systems Professional communication skills and sound judgment when interacting with guests and vendors Ability to remain calm, organized, and friendly in a fast-paced environment Available to work weekends and some holidays Able to stand, walk, and perform front desk duties throughout a shift Preferred Qualifications Previous hotel front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience Familiarity with reservation or property management systems Local resident with reliable transportation and stable availability
