Job Description
The Hotel Colorado is hiring for a Front Desk Agent! We are looking for applicants that have a friendly attitude with strong attention to detail. Applicants should be able to multi task and speak with a variety of people using diplomacy. Previous customer service experience is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits. A free bus pass is offered after 30 days of employment the type which is based on your home address. Hotel Colorado has been delighting guests with its legendary hospitality since 1893. The first phase of a $10 million restoration of the Hotel Colorado was completed in August 2019 with improvements to and discoveries in six restored meeting and banquet rooms. Original brick fireplaces were uncovered in four of the rooms-Roosevelt, Garden, Taft and Devereux-during the restoration. Currently, Hotel Colorado is undergoing the second phase of renovations with comprehensive floor-to-ceiling remodels in all guest rooms. We are the only full-service hotel in Glenwood Springs; offering breakfast, lunch and dinner service, bar service, on-site catering, audio visual services, and hosting groups ranging from 5 to 300 people. We were the 2022 Silver Medal Winner for Locals Choice Best Place to work with 26 or more employees. What would you do as a Front Desk Agent? To begin with, you are the "face" of the hotel. You are the first point of contact for many of our guests visiting Hotel Colorado. You would be answering the phones with a professional attitude, checking guests in and out and making reservations. Many guests come to the Front Desk for information about the history of the hotel or to find out things to do in the area. What qualifications do you need for this job? An outgoing personality, the ability to speak with people on all levels, organizational skills and the ability to multi task. We prefer our candidates have previous customer service experience.
