Job Description

River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for a Front Desk Professional to join our team in Montrose, Colorado. The Front Desk Professional serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. This role is responsible for conducting front office operations, including patient check-in and check-out, verifying demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, and handling phone communications. The position also supports financial counseling, payment processing, and accurate maintenance of patient records within electronic medical and dental systems. Working closely with the Front Desk Supervisor and clinical staff, the Front Desk Professional plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining confidentiality while supporting the clinics mission to provide accessible, high-quality care to the community. The Front Desk Professional position is a full-time position; 40 hours per week. We are a growing, exciting place to work, serving our community in a variety of ways. Come join our team! A day in the life of a Front Desk Professional includes: Checking patients in and out, verifying demographic information, insurance, scheduling and rescheduling of appointments. Answering phone calls and providing great customer service. Explain sliding fee scale or other financial programs available; collect payments and insurance co-pays, and maintaining daily logs of payments. Maintaining and ensuring confidentiality of patient medical, dental, and behavioral health records. And so much more! Valid driver's license preferred. Bilingual skills are preferred. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members, patients, families, and others. Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting electronic medical records, and to complete follow-up tasks. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to travel between clinics as needed. This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
