Job Description

HHH Canine Lodge & Ranch is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. We are a busy canine facility offering boarding, training, day training, grooming, enrichment services, nutrition support, and retail products. This is not a desk-only position. In addition to managing reservations, appointments, phone calls, payments, and retail sales, the Front Desk Receptionist will help safely handle dogs arriving, departing, or moving between departments. Responsibilities Answer incoming calls and respond to client questions Return voicemail messages and follow up with clients Create and manage boarding reservations and service appointments Schedule training, grooming, evaluations, and other services Check dogs in and out of the facility Review client instructions, feeding information, medications, vaccination records, and requested services Explain our services, products, pricing, policies, and scheduling requirements Communicate client information accurately to the boarding, training, grooming, and management teams Process cash, credit card, and other customer payments Maintain accurate cash-handling and transaction records Assist clients with retail purchases and product recommendations Stock, price, organize, and maintain the retail area Maintain accurate client and pet records in our reservation-management system Safely leash and handle dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments Move dogs between the reception area and other departments when needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk Assist with general facility responsibilities as needed Handle client questions, concerns, and schedule changes professionally Qualifications Previous receptionist, customer-service, retail, veterinary, boarding, grooming, daycare, or animal-care experience is preferred Strong telephone and in-person communication skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a busy environment Basic computer, email, scheduling, and point-of-sale skills Comfortable learning new reservation and client-management software Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Comfortable discussing policies and collecting payments Able to communicate professionally during difficult conversations Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and activity levels Must be able to follow dog-handling and facility-safety procedures Genuine interest in dogs and willingness to learn about our services and products Physical Requirements Ability to safely handle dogs of various sizes Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout the facility Ability to lift approximately 40-50 pounds when needed Comfortable working around barking, shedding, pet hair, cleaning products, and normal kennel odors Comfortable occasionally working outdoors in varying weather conditions Schedule HHH Canine Lodge & Ranch operates seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Applicants must have dependable availability.
