Position Overview As a member of the Guest Services team, the ideal applicant has exceptional communication and customer relations skills, providing an outstanding first impression while creating a positive and memorable experience for Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens guests. The Seasonal Guest Service Associate provides support for Garden daily admissions, exhibitions and events through a welcoming greeting, timely and accurate admission, retail sales, and membership services using computerized point-of-sales systems. Candidate will need to be available on Mondays and a flexible schedule to cover daytime shifts throughout our season. Typical schedule will be 8-16 hours per week but additional coverage options may be available. This position will conclude in April but candidate may be eligible for additional shifts/roles should Gardens programming necessitate.

JOB DUTIES NOTE

: The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed in this job and are not limited to the following: Seasonal Guest Services Associate Greet garden guests in a friendly and positive manner and share insight into our Sanctuary of Art and Nature. Ensure informational materials are well stocked and appropriately displayed. Proactively share benefits of a garden membership. Efficiently and accurately facilitate Gift Shop/Garden Shop sales, admissions, and membership transactions to guests. Accurately reconcile cash and credit card transactions. Maintain an organized, safe, and clean working environment. Perform some custodial duties, specifically bathroom maintenance and light cleaning. Work with and provide support to volunteers. Gather feedback from guests to share with team leader. Proactively work to problem solve in a timely manner; communicate with team leader on inventory and concerns. May work occasional evenings in the Garden assisting guests during events. Responsible for monitoring business email and keeping up to date with Garden communications. Answer garden general phone line as soon as possible, by the third ring, if not with a customer. Have working knowledge of all policies and procedures; ensure daily tasks are completed in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent guest service relations. Collaborative colleague. Proactively seek and share opportunities for the Gardens to grow and improve. Positive attitude and appropriate sense of humor. Understanding of Point of Sale (POS) transactions on computer system (Square preferred); working knowledge of Microsoft programs. Flexibility of schedule to work shifts including weekends as needed. Basic math, computer and cash handling skills required. Work independently with little supervision; be proactive, take initiative, and troubleshoot. Familiarity with the outdoors and/or gardens preferred. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Flexibility and capability to adapt to changes in daily routine and guest needs. Intermittent standing and walking required. Requires the ability to lift 10 pounds.

EDUCATION

Minimum of high school diploma or

GED . NOTE
