Burbank, IL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $15.00 - $15.50 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Qualifications Computer operation Spanish Customer communication Greeting customers Attention to detail Property management systems (PMS) Patience Computer skills Venue guest services Full Job Description Front Desk Agent - Flexible Shift Coverage (Overnights & Weekends) We are seeking a reliable, guest-focused Front Desk Agent with a flexible schedule who can provide coverage for a variety of shifts, with a strong emphasis on overnights and weekends. This role includes regular front desk responsibilities plus the ability to cover additional shifts (including last-minute needs). Shift coverage hours, especially overnight and weekend shifts, are compensated at a slightly higher rate in recognition of your flexibility and availability. Responsibilities Welcome guests with a friendly, professional attitude and provide prompt check-in and check-out service. Answer phones, handle reservations, modify bookings, and provide hotel and local area information. Process payments accurately, balance cash and credit card transactions, and follow all financial procedures. Respond to guest requests, questions, and concerns; resolve issues or escalate to management as needed. Monitor lobby activity and maintain a clean, organized front desk and reception area. Communicate effectively with Housekeeping and Maintenance to coordinate room status and guest needs. Handle guest complaints and service recovery with a focus on guest satisfaction and professionalism. Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures, especially during overnight shifts. Provide consistent shift coverage, with primary availability for overnight (3rd shift) and weekend shifts, including holidays and occasional last-minute needs. Requirements Previous hotel front desk or strong customer service experience preferred. Flexible schedule with strong availability for overnights and weekends. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, guest-first attitude. Comfortable using hotel property management systems (PMS) and basic computer applications. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision, particularly overnight. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to stay calm under pressure. Schedule & Compensation Part-time or full-time hours depending on business needs and candidate availability. Base hourly rate plus a higher differential for overnight and weekend coverage shifts.
