Job Description

Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk operations during overnight hours, ensuring the accuracy of guest accounts, processing financial transactions, and providing exceptional customer service. The role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. This position ensures that the hotel maintains smooth operations after hours, and helps prepare for the next day's activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit and Reconcile:
Perform nightly audits of guest accounts, ensuring that charges are accurately posted to accounts and that the hotel's financial records are balanced.
Guest Service:
Provide outstanding customer service, including checking in and out guests, answering inquiries, handling guest requests, and addressing concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare financial reports, including nightly revenue summaries, daily transaction reports, and any other required documents for management review.
Manage Reservations:
Handle reservation changes, cancellations, and confirmations as needed. Ensure that all guest details are entered correctly into the system.
End of Day Procedures:
Close out the day's transactions and prepare the hotel for the next day's operations.
Communication:
Communicate any issues or concerns to management and other departments, including maintenance or housekeeping, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Other Duties:
Perform general office duties such as answering phones and providing guest information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Ability to lift or carry up to [specific weight] for occasional tasks (e.g., carrying documents or supplies). Ability to respond to emergencies and act swiftly.
Pay:
From $15.50 per hour
