Sports Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Associate The Shannon Pohl Badminton Academy is looking for a motivated hard worker to join our team!
Immediately available shifts:
Tuesdays:
5:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
Wednesdays:
5:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
Thursdays:
5:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
Fridays:
5:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. Shifts available in the next month:
Saturdays:
8:30-11:30 am
Sundays:
8:00-11:30 a.m.
About You:
Self Starter Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic Passionate about helping others improve the quality of their lives through fitness and sports Demonstrate strong customer service skills and enjoy serving others Have a great personality and naturally connect with a wide variety of people from around the world Must be assertive, enthusiastic, outgoing, energetic, friendly, and professional Excellent leadership skills, organizational skills and ability to multi-task Computer literate and strong in math Great attention to detail Outstanding communication skills in both written and spoken English. Fluent in Mandarin, Hindi or other languages is a plus About the
Position:
Responsible for opening and/or closing duties Supervise and manage day to day operations Answer phones and field questions regarding programming and facilities Assisting with program registration, payment processing, and scheduling club services Collect open gym fees and facilitate court rotation for players Manage pro shop inventory and sales Performing basic bookkeeping, cashiering, filing, and clerical duties Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness Generating sales leads through prospect, networking, and member referrals Future shifts involve managing league play Promoting and attending club social events Notifying of housekeeping and maintenance issues to management Sending out USPS, FedEx, and UPS mail and packages Maintain safe and clean facility Ensuring club policies and safety measures are followed
Requirements:
Minimum age of 18 years Minimum of 2 years of experience as an administrative assistant. Experience in customer service and sales is a plus! Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, and Google Docs Strong organizational and computer skills Math skills High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to lift 30 lbs to change out athletic equipment or stock inventory Must be able to work evenings and weekends Must take a safe sports course included with training. Experience in Google Docs. Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid for adults and children. We are willing to train you in this! Must have your own reliable transportation to the job
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, Sports Management, Exercise Management or related fields a plus but not required. Knowledge of competitive badminton is a plus but not required. Social Media skills Experience in
