Job Description
The Best Western Plus Marquette is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Front Desk Attendant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service, and being part of a professional hotel environment. The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming experience for our guests while efficiently handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, guest requests, and general front desk duties. Schedule Part-time, approximately 2-3 shifts per week Primarily afternoon/evening shifts Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts Some weekend availability is essential Essential Responsibilities Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately Process payments and follow all credit card verification procedures Answer phones and assist guests with questions and requests Make and modify reservations according to hotel policies Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, and area activities Address guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues promptly Monitor the front desk and hotel lobby to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Communicate important guest or operational information to management and the next shift Maintain accurate records and complete required front desk paperwork Follow all hotel policies and procedures Assist with light cleaning and organization of the lobby/front desk area as needed Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality Perform other duties as assigned by management What We're Looking For Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, positive, and professional personality Reliable and punctual Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask in a busy hotel environment Comfortable using computers and learning hotel software Ability to work independently while also being a team player Previous hotel or customer service experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right person Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 25 pounds Ability to bend, reach, and perform routine front desk and guest-service tasks Why Join Our Team?
