Job Description

Shift:
11:00 PM - 7:00 AM Job Summary The Front Desk Night Auditor is responsible for providing excellent guest service during overnight hours while ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel. This position handles guest check-ins and check-outs, processes daily financial reports, maintains hotel security, and prepares the property for the next business day. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Service Welcome guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Check guests in and out efficiently. Answer phone calls and assist guests with questions, requests, and concerns. Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally. Maintain a positive first and last impression for all guests. Front Desk Operations Verify and update reservations in the property management system. Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts. Ensure guest information is complete and matches valid identification. Maintain an organized and professional front desk area. Monitor room availability and upcoming arrivals. Night Audit Responsibilities Complete the nightly audit process and balance daily transactions. Reconcile cash, credit card, and other payment reports. Generate and distribute required daily reports to management. Verify third-party reservations and ensure accuracy. Prepare arrival reports and room key packets for the morning shift. Property & Security Monitoring Conduct routine property walks to ensure guest safety and security. Monitor hotel activity and report suspicious behavior immediately. Ensure lobby, breakfast area, and common areas remain clean and presentable. Respond to emergencies according to hotel policies and procedures. Communication & Teamwork Leave detailed shift notes for management and incoming staff. Communicate important guest concerns, maintenance issues, and operational updates. Assist housekeeping and maintenance departments when necessary. Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous hotel, customer service, or front desk experience preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn hotel software systems. Ability to work independently during overnight hours. Reliable attendance and punctuality required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move around the property for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Performance Expectations Deliver outstanding guest service at all times. Maintain accurate records and reports. Complete all night audit duties before shift end. Ensure the property is secure, clean, and prepared for the morning shift. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

Pay:
$13.73 - $15.00 per hour
