Come join our team at Hotel Rose in Rockford! We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented Front Desk Associate to join our team at Hotel Rose. The Front Desk Associate will be the first point of contact for our guests and will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly and professional demeanor. Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately. Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications promptly. Answer and manage incoming calls, emails, and messages from guests. Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner. Maintain accurate guest records and update the hotel management system as necessary. Process payments and handle cash, credit card, and other forms of transactions. Provide information about the hotel's services, amenities, and local attractions. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure guest satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned by the front desk supervisor or hotel management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service training is a plus. Previous experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with hotel management software and basic computer skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks as needed.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a hotel lobby and front desk area. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role requires standing for extended periods, handling guest luggage occasionally, and performing other light physical tasks. A fast-paced environment that requires excellent time management and customer service skills. Interaction with a diverse range of guests, requiring patience and professionalism.
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
