Northern Oral Surgery & Implant Center is looking to add a Front Desk/Dental Assistant hybrid to join our close-knit team! We have five doctors who rotate between our three office locations. We pride ourselves on exceptional patient care with a great team-focused office. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, hard-working and can multitask efficiently. This is a unique hybrid position for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and hands-on clinical care. The successful candidate will spend approximately two days each week working at the front desk and two days each week assisting our oral surgeons in the clinic. The schedule may vary based on patient needs and office coverage.

Front Desk Responsibilities:

Answer patient phone calls and assist them or triage call. Assist patients checking in for their appointments. Entering in patient registration paperwork in software. Navigate multiple different insurance sites to verify patient information and eligibility. Scheduling appointments for patients. Process and track referrals along with calling patients to schedule. Prepare patient charts for their appointments. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by abiding by HIPAA.

Dental Assistant Responsibilities :

Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepare patients for surgery and protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Assist oral surgeon with surgical procedures such as extractions, biopsies, implant placement, and bone grafts among other procedures. Help surgeon manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency drug and oxygen supply. Educate patients by giving postoperative instructions. Document dental care services by charting in patient's electronic records. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Schedule:

Monday thru Friday 8:00-4:30 No weekends!!

Work Remotely No Qualifications:

Dental assisting experience preferred. Licensed Dental Assistant preferred but not required. Previous dental or medical front office experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well in a team environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
