Compensation:
$16.75 hourly to start
Responsibilities:
Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests Give every guest a warm welcome, check them in, and check them out when they leave, ensuring you provide correct keys and room numbers Mitigate customer complaints as needed Perform regular bookkeeping duties: make sure hotel guest information is current and correct Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests' needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs Greet guests warmly and professionally during check-in and check-out Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens Handle guest payments, deposits, and incidental charges with accuracy and accountability Ensure all billing and folio details are correct and clearly explained to guests Respond to guest requests, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and the local area Handle phone calls, emails, and internal communications efficiently Maintain accurate records in the property management system Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and guest issues are addressed Follow all brand standards and front desk procedures consistently Adhere to IHG brand standards in all aspects of guest service, operations, and compliance
Qualifications:
Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational skills, and customer service skills 1+ year of hotel industry experience or related job preferred High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Has previous experience or working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems Has experience answering telephone calls and troubleshooting stressful situations Previous front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Close attention to detail, especially with billing and data entry Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Basic computer and property management system skills preferred Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work any shift, including mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays, with no schedule restrictions Strong problem-solving skills and professional demeanor Why Join Us?
