Job Description

Solas Health, PLLC , has multiple locations in North Carolina. Solas Health is a multi-specialty clinic that provides orthopedic care, pain management, behavioral health and counseling, and medication-assisted treatment of opiate addiction. Our mission is to treat all patients with kindness and compassion and provide improved quality of life and function for our patients. Solas Health is looking for a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to assist with administrative and clinical needs. The CMA would work under the supervision of the Physicians, Mid Level Providers, and the Practice Administrator.
RESPONSIBILITES
Prepares the necessary equipment and supplies for the exam. Maintains the inventory of supplies in examination rooms, and replenishes as required. Maintains clean and orderly exam rooms, hallways, and work areas. Escorts patient to exam room; measures and records vital signs. Prepares patients for examination or treatment and performs routine screening tests. Explains treatment procedures to patients. Reports patient's concerns and symptoms, reactions, and changes (appropriate to age) to licensed clinic personnel. Documents clinical information, including patient phone calls, and maintains accurate and complete patient documentation according to medical professional standards. Assists physicians with procedure set-ups, patient procedures, and examinations. Collects and sends specimens to appropriate labs for testing per protocol. Process requests for prescription refills and prior authorization according to established practice and insurance standards. We maintain a very pleasant and positive work environment and provide excellent pay and benefits. Cross train at Front desk to ensure demographic information is correct. Scheduling of patients. Work hours are Full-Time in Smithfield. With the potential to travel to Raleigh, Sanford, and Fayetteville on PRN basis with no nights or weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate degree or higher (required)
Training:
Completion of CMA training program with certification (required)
Reference:
Minimum of two professional references (required). Please submit with resume for consideration.
Skill:
Administrative and clinical skills.
Transportation:
Must have available, reliable transportation to and from work.
Travel:
