Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE
Greet, check-in and check-out guests and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all SOPs and LSOPs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible verify accuracy of name, method of payment, rates, and market segments. 2. Pre-register, block reservations and take same day reservations and when necessary future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies and inform the sales team of any company leads. 3. Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner. 4. Resolve customer complaints; assist customers in all inquires in connection with hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, etc. 5. Cancel room reservations according to procedure. 6. Treat customers in a professional and courteous manner according to procedures. 7. Keep lobby and work area clean and organized, including restocking food and beverages in the market and paper and pens in the business center. 8. Inventory operating supplies and inform management of any items needed to be ordered. 9. Communicate efficiently with other departments of the hotel such as housekeeping and maintenance to meet guest requests and resolve any guest concerns. 10. Communicate with sales team in regards to upcoming needing reservations, group blocks, group room assignments, and group charge routing. 11. Complete shift check list as specified. 12. Must at all times wear approved uniform, maintain personal hygiene and appearance. 13. Preform any additional task performed by peers.
