FRONT DESK AGENT
The Saratoga Arms Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel that gives guests a quiet, relaxing and restorative vacation experience. We make sure our guests have an excellent stay in Saratoga Springs, providing sumptuous rooms, high end amenities, friendly service and a farm-to-table food experience for breakfast and evening cocktails. We spoil our guests with unparalleled advice about and access to all that Saratoga Springs has to offer: fabulous restaurants, historic sites, performing arts venues and the famed Saratoga Race Course.
PAY/SCHEDULE STRUCTURE
o $18.50/hour - $23.13/hour o 1% commission on all leisure reservations personally booked o Hiring for 5 shifts/week: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
OVERVIEW
As a front desk agent for the Saratoga Arms Hotel, you'll create a memorable vacation experience for guests visiting Saratoga Springs. Your goal will be to provide exceptional service for both our in-house guests and potential future guests that engage with the hotel on the phone, via text or through our website chat box. Your success will help the Saratoga Arms Hotel position itself as the premiere luxury hotel in Saratoga Springs.

REQUIREMENTS
For candidates that have an innate desire to serve others but may not have directly applicable experience, please apply. Please keep the following in mind as you submit your application: o
Experience:
previous hotel experience is a bonus, but certainly not required. If you describe yourself as warm, empathetic, teamwork oriented, conscientious and optimistic, we'll train you! o
Education :
a high school diploma is encouraged, a bachelor's degree is ideal. o
Skills :
you'll understand how to address a guest's questions or concerns. You'll understand how to balance competing priorities in this fast-paced role. You know how to speak to guests in a clear, concise and compelling way. o
Characteristics:
in this position, you'll be staffed solo some shifts, so you must be self-sufficient and self-motivated without direct supervision.
RESPONSIBILITES
As a front desk agent you'll ensure the smooth operation of the hotel during your scheduled shifts. In addition to taking reservations, checking in/out guests and handling all guest communication, you will provide communication and support for all operational departments. o Ensuring guests have a memorable stay in Saratoga Springs by providing exceptional service and making carefully considered suggestions for dining, activities and more. o Motivating potential guests to book with us by describing the benefits of staying at our property. o Monitoring the communication channels guests use to reach our hotel including the phone, website chat window and in-house guest text messaging platform. o Contributing to all hotel departments including food and beverage, housekeeping and maintenance to ensure smooth operations on your shift. o Promoting our hotel, our packages and promotions, our city and our city hospitality partners to in-house guests and potential future guests.
