FRONT DESK AGENT

Non-Exempt Position Summary:
The Front Desk Agent provides guest service by completing check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, processing payments, maintaining guest records, and responding to guest questions and requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests. Make, confirm, modify, and cancel reservations. Issue room keys and provide information regarding hotel services. Verify payment methods and process guest payments. Maintain accurate room availability and guest account records. Review charges and accounts with guests during check-out. Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries. Record guest comments and complaints and refer concerns to management when necessary. Contact housekeeping or maintenance when guests report problems. Communicate room status with housekeeping staff. Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area. All other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer and payment-processing skills. Strong attention to detail. Basic mathematics and cash-handling skills. Ability to multitask and remain professional under pressure.
Required Experience and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous hotel, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to operate a computer and telephone. Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Hotel front desk and lobby environment. Frequent interaction with guests. May require mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Pay:
$13.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 22.0 per week
