Job Description

Rocking Chair Hospitality is currently seeking a detailed, highly motivated individual with open availability to support the needs of the front desk department. Essential Job Functions To assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all Front Desk standards of service and hospitality Promptly and effectively deal with guest complaints and requests Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner Post guest charges and compute guest bill and collect payment Handle guest mail/packages by making sure it is communicated to guest they receive their items Be very knowledgeable of Marriott Rewards program and promotions Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, surrounding area Block rooms and handle special requests Monitor room availability Handle safe deposits by guests per established procedures Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures Offer and properly handle requests for wake up calls Know how to clean guest rooms to standards Open and close shift and making cash drops Ensure all credit cards and cash are balanced throughout each shift Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information Keep maintenance informed of all maintenance needs Must wear proper uniform at all times Be able to move luggage or packages weighing up to 40 pounds Employee must have reliable transportation and able to work weekends and holidays Perform other duties requested per management Position Requirements Previous hotel experience is preferred Previous customer service experience required Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Work Environment and Context Work schedule varies and includes working on holidays, weekends. Required to stand for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds
