Jazz Club / Live Entertainment Venue Job Description We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Box Office & Guest Services Associate to join our team at a live jazz club. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for our guests from the moment they contact the club through their arrival and seating. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, comfortable speaking with guests both in person and over the phone, and able to stay organized in a fast-paced live entertainment environment. The position will include up to three days of in-person work per week, with the possibility of additional remote hours answering guest phone calls and assisting with general questions about the club, tickets, reservations, and upcoming performances. Responsibilities Welcome and assist guests as they arrive at the club. Help manage the guest check-in and box office process. Review guest reservations and notes to identify seating requests, special accommodations, and other important details for the evening. Communicate seating information and guest needs with management and the service team. Answer incoming phone calls and provide friendly, accurate information regarding performances, tickets, reservations, seating, club policies, and general guest questions. Return guest phone calls and follow up on messages in a timely and professional manner. Assist guests with purchasing tickets and resolving basic ticketing questions or concerns. Process ticket and merchandise sales accurately. Assist with the setup, organization, sales, and tracking of artist merchandise during performances. Help maintain accurate guest and sales information. Communicate important guest concerns or special requests to management. Provide remote phone support from home on designated days as needed. Work closely with the box office, management, service staff, and visiting artists to help ensure smooth show operations. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Strong customer service and communication skills. A warm, professional, and welcoming personality. Excellent phone etiquette and the ability to communicate clearly with guests. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfort working with computers, ticketing systems, and point-of-sale systems. The ability to handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly. The ability to multitask and remain composed during busy show periods. Dependability and the ability to work independently when handling remote phone coverage. Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by the club's performance schedule. Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, box office operations, restaurants, theaters, music venues, or live entertainment is preferred but not required. About the Role This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, live music, and interacting with people. The Box Office & Guest Services Associate is often one of the first people our guests interact with, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent service and helping create a positive experience before guests even take their seats. The role is expected to include up to three in-person shifts per week , along with the possibility of designated work-from-home phone coverage to answer incoming guest questions and return calls. We are looking for someone who can become a reliable and knowledgeable point of contact for our guests while contributing to the welcoming atmosphere of the club.
Pay:
$17.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 35.0 per week
