Job Description

About the Position We are a well-established, independently owned chiropractic practice seeking an experienced, dependable, and organized Chiropractic Medical Biller & Front Desk Specialist . This is a unique hybrid position combining medical billing, insurance follow-up, accounts receivable, and collections with part-time in-office front desk and patient support responsibilities . Our priority is finding someone with strong medical billing experience who can take ownership of the billing and collections side of the practice while also being available for agreed-upon hours in the office. If you are an experienced chiropractic or medical biller who enjoys working independently and would like the flexibility of combining remote billing work with limited in-office hours , this may be an excellent fit. Responsibilities Medical Billing & Collections Submit insurance claims accurately and promptly Review EOBs/ERAs and insurance payments Follow up aggressively and consistently on outstanding claims Work aging and accounts receivable reports Investigate denied, rejected, delayed, or underpaid claims Correct and resubmit claims when necessary Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement Post insurance and patient payments as needed Manage patient balances and assist with collection of outstanding accounts Maintain accurate billing notes and documentation Identify and help resolve recurring billing or reimbursement problems Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Front Desk & Patient Services Answer incoming telephone calls professionally Schedule and confirm patient appointments Greet and check patients in and out Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding patient balances Assist patients with basic insurance and billing questions Request and organize medical records Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information Balance daily collections and office reports Perform general administrative and office duties Help provide a friendly, organized, and professional patient experience Office Hours & Schedule Current patient hours are: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8:30 AM-12:30 PM 2:00 PM-6:00 PM Applicants do not necessarily need to work all of these hours . The in-office schedule is negotiable based upon experience, availability, and the needs of the practice. Medical billing and collections work may be performed partially remotely , creating flexibility for the right candidate. Specific in-office and remote hours will be discussed during the interview.
Qualifications Required/Preferred Experience:
Previous medical billing experience Chiropractic billing experience strongly preferred Experience with insurance claims, denials, A/R follow-up, and collections Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding Familiarity with commercial insurance and Medicare billing Medical or chiropractic front desk experience preferred Experience with ChiroSpring EMR is a strong plus Experience with other chiropractic or medical EMR/practice-management systems will also be considered The Person We're Looking For Because this is a small practice, we are looking for more than someone who simply processes claims or answers phones.

Pay:
